Leave a crumb on the map.

Pincrumb turns the world into a map of little discoveries. Drop a photo, a note, or a voice message on the exact spot — a crumb someone finds when they wander near.

What it is

Part scavenger hunt, part local guide, part trail of breadcrumbs.

See something worth sharing — a hidden mural, a great bench, a strange sign, a perfect view? Pin a tip to the exact spot. As you move around, Pincrumb pings you when you come within a few steps of someone else's.

📍

Drop tips in seconds

A title, a photo, or a hold-to-record voice note — pinned to where you're standing.

🔔

Get pinged nearby

A gentle sound and buzz when you're near a tip worth checking out.

🎙️

Leave a spoken note on a trail. Hands-free moments, no typing.

How it works

Under the hood.

The app talks directly to a Supabase backend over HTTPS. Location lives in a real geospatial database, so “tips near me” is a fast, indexed query — not a download of the whole map.

What to test

  • Sign in with Apple on first launch.
  • Drop a tip: title only, then with a photo, then a hold-to-record voice pin.
  • Walk ~20m away and back — do you get a ping + buzz?
  • Tap pins: photos open, voice notes play.
  • Toggle mute / “voice only” / “keep screen on.”
  • Turn on Airplane Mode: you should see a “No connection” banner, and it should recover when you turn it off.

FAQ

Good to know.

Do I need to create a username or password?

No. You sign in with your Apple ID in one tap — there's no password to set or remember, and no email sign-up. Pincrumb gives you an anonymous handle automatically.

How is my location used?

To place tips at the right spot and to ping you when you're near someone else's. It's used while you're using the app; you're always in control via iOS Settings.

Who can see my tips?

Tips are shown on the shared map to other Pincrumb users, under your anonymous handle. You can only edit or delete your own.

Which devices does it work on?

iPhone, during the beta. The backend is built to support other platforms (Android/web) later without changes.

How do I report a problem or something inappropriate?

During the beta, use TestFlight's built-in feedback. In-app report & block are on the way before public release.
